Toowoomba to the border – Wallangarra

DAY 1 : Toowoomba to Warwick

APPROX. 84 KM / 1 HR 7 MINS

Take the A3 to reach and explore the historic town of Allora. Head south to Warwick for the night. Explore Warwick with the “5 Walks of Warwick” map which you can pick up at the Warwick Visitor Information Centre. Dine at Bluebird Kitchen and Smokehouse to enjoy locally smoked meats, slow roasted on the industrial smoker.

DAY 2 : Warwick to Stanthorpe

APPROX. 60 KM / 43 MINS

Drive on National Highway 15 towards Stanthorpe. On the way, stop at Suttons Orchard for apple pie and tea, The Big Apple, Stanthorpe Cheese, and walk it all off in the Granite Belt Maze. Check into accommodation in Stanthorpe for the night.

DAY 3 : Stanthorpe to Killarney

APPROX. 163 KM / 1HR 58 MINS

Continue on National Highway 15 to Wallangarra for morning tea at the Railway Café and take a selfie at the Queensland sign on the border. Then head back to Girraween National Parkto explore for a half day. Then drive to Killarney to check into an old-fashioned pub for the night.

DAY 4 : Killarney to Toowoomba

APPROX. 121 KM / 1HR 34 MINS

Head to the Falls Drive to visit Queen Mary Falls, Daggs Falls and Browns falls. On the drive back to Toowoomba, take the back roads through Tanneymorel and Yangan for lovely country roads.
