Mapping the Queensland Country 2024-2026 Tourism Strategy: Industry Consultation Sessions

At Southern Queensland Country Tourism, we're on a journey to elevate our region as a premier destination for travellers seeking unique and memorable experiences. In collaboration with Krista Hauritz, a renowned expert from Krista Hauritz Tourism + Events + Marketing, we're deep into the strategic development of our Destination Management Plan (DMP). This pivotal endeavour aims not only to map out the future direction of our region but to ensure that the voices of our local communities, Council partners, and tourism operators are heard and integrated every step of the journey.

Through a series of comprehensive consultations across Southern Queensland Country, we've engaged with our industry partners in meaningful discussions, both online and in-person, and through targeted surveys. These sessions have been instrumental in gathering valuable insights into the existing tourism landscape and the aspirations we collectively harbor for the years ahead.

While the final DMP is still taking shape, we're excited to share that the consultation summaries from these insightful sessions are now available. These documents offer a glimpse into the collaborative efforts underway and the exciting potential that lies ahead for our region.

Stay tuned as we continue to work together to craft a shared vision for Southern Queensland Country Tourism, one that promises to enhance our region's appeal and ensure a sustainable, vibrant future for all who visit and call it home.
